    Importance of ginger

    Do you remember a time when your grandma used to collect some herbs from her kitchen garden to prepare some herbal medicine? When you were lying in bed with intense digestive problems, she prepared the concoction to help you overcome the ailment.

    There are many such herbs and plants in Kerala, which have high medicinal quality. Ginger is one among them; and ginger tea is one such herbal medicine and a beverage made out of the perennial ginger root seen on the premises of your houses. It caters to a wide range of health problems – be it common cold, indigestion, or cardio vascular problem.

    Ginger is used as a medicine to relieve joint pains and it plays an important part in joint pain ayurvedic treatment. Ginger is said to have the quality to stimulate blood circulation, apart from providing relief from nausea. Drinking ginger tea is good for beating the common cold as it helps to loosen the phlegm and provide a warm feeling to the body.
    So, if you have cold, nausea or joint pain, go to your back garden and collect the roots of ginger. Eat it in small amount or prepare a strong ginger tea by boiling it with water. Trust that you have a good medicine ready, at hand capable of treating all these diseases.
